KWAP Inspire: Simple Ways To Reduce Your Carbon Foot Print
Simple Ways To Reduce Your Carbon Foot Print
Global warming has been increasing drastically and its effects are visible in our daily lives. With natural calamities on a rise everywhere and the health conditions and diseases getting worse by the day, the need to save our planet is urgent! With the high levels of global warming in today’s world, the need for a sustainable way of life is more important than ever. The Environmental Conference 2018 discusses the pointers on sustainable living, recycling, restoring out forests as well as caring for our environment.
There are a lot of simple ways to inculcate a sustainable way of living in your lifestyle which are affordable, safe and extremely thoughtful. You can start by doing simple things in your everyday life as below -
1.Recycle all your plastics
Ensure that all your plastics are carefully disposed off in the plastic recycling bins and not in the trash bins that are used for compost or for steel, glass and other metals. Recycling ensures that your waste is reused in the production of new plastic products without increasing the quantity of plastic in the environment.
2.Plant more trees
As discussed in the Environmental Summit 2018 in Malaysia, it is essential to plant more trees in your neighborhood, schools, residential colonies etc. You can start small by planting trees in your backyard first and then move on to your neighborhood and schools!
3.Create compost out of your waste
Your food wastes, clothes, papers, tissues etc. can all be used for creating compost that can be dug up in the ground. Compost areas are very common in villages but in a city, this can be difficult to find. You can create your own compost pile in your backyard and dump all your food wastes there!
4.Reduce usage of plastic
It is essential to reduce your plastic usage. As discussed in every Global Warming Conference Kuala Lumpur, reduction of plastic usage can help the environmental criss of global warming to a large extent. You can make the switch to reusable items or decomposable items. For example, you can switch your food containers from plastic to wooden or even steel containers!
5.Use green energy
Green energy is basically reusable energy such as wind energy, solar energy, hydro power electricity, etc. This type of energy helps to reduce the consumption of natural resources such as coal, petrol, gasoline and natural gas which can deteriorate the environment at high rates. All the upcoming environmental conferences in Malaysia will be addressing the positives of making the switch to reusable energy instead of natural energy.
If you are in the area and can attend such seminars and conferences that talk about environmental issues and how you can be a part in the process of saving the environment, to take active part in the same. This can help you gain knowledge on the different issues the world is facing and what the current generations as well as the future youth of the nation do to safeguard the environment.
